Description
Out of all the gods, the three Celestials are the most illustrious and well-known. Although the gods have their own affairs, they recognize the Celestials as their superiors and obey them. The Celestials consist of the Sun God, the Star God, and the Moon God. For eons, these three gods have existed much longer than the rest of the pantheon. Most individuals worship the Celestials regardless of which Gods rule their homeland. Celestial worship can be noticed throughout daily life within conversation, murals/buildings, and common functions of Iaia.
Celestials are much different from your average god. All gods used to be mortals before ascending to their positions. But the Celestials were already born as gods. Despite their hold on all of Iaia, no mortal has ever seen them. Each of the three gods have a critical role in the development of Iaia (psst read below). The rest of the pantheon of gods are sworn to keep their mouths sealed for eternity regarding the identities of the Celestials.
The Sun God
The Sun God, the eldest of the three siblings, represents creation, power, and passion. He is the first god to ever exist in all of Iaia, and the older than just about every living being. Out of the three siblings, the Sun God is the most respected and revered. Life itself would cease to exist without the sun, he is responsible for the world order. Those who regularly pray to the noble Sun God usually do so in order to promote strength and power in themselves and their kin. Solar worship is usually prevalent in families with high expectations for their relatives.
The Star God
The Star God, the second eldest, represents guidance, comfort, and belonging. Despite his title being singular, he embodies all the stars in the sky. The Star God came thousands of years after the Sun God, though he still holds quite an important role. His presence signifies unity, and his blessing aids the bonds between people, keeping Iaia connected. The Star God is also known to bring joy and comfort in times of need. Individuals may pray to the loving Star God to ask for good luck and safety before anything important. Especially travelers, who look to the stars for guidance in their darkest hours.
The Moon God
The Moon God, the youngest of the three, represents inspiration, longing, and generosity. Ever wonder why theres so many stories about the moon? The generous Moon God embodies inspiration, and praying to them as been said to spark the brightest ideas deep within the soul. Technology, art pieces, music, and just about anything unique will benefit from the blessings of the Moon God. Without the him, the development of Iaia would be much further behind. Cultures with appreciation for individuality are especially respectful towards the Moon God.
