Description

Bix is one of the protagonists who lives with Tammy and Benzaiten on Neptune. He is a fire elemental, along with a shapeshifter, who will be alongside Tammy on her journey. For a while, Bix has been living with Benzaiten even though the two are not biologically related. He prefers to watch others from a distance... until Tammy came along and forced him to be around other people.

Personality

Bix is often considered intelligent and forward-thinking by those in his inner social circle. He is naturally gifted at problem-solving and attention to detail. Bix also enjoys sharing his knowledge to people he considers as close. However, his social life is rather closed off. Though Bix is caring towards people he likes, he rarely has the personal desire to talk to anyone new. While talking to people Bix isn't familiar with, he adopts a closed and standoffish behavior.

Socializing is a struggle for Bix due to his shy nature. It doesn't help that many of his interests are considered geeky. Well, he is a dork! Usually, Bix doesn't like to meet anybody at all. When Bix meets new individuals, he doesn't like to share much about himself nor speak at all. Bix's shyness also leads to a hatred for confrontation.

When Bix gets more comfortable around someone, he will be more open about sharing his interests or random facts. At a certain point Bix will also begin to crack jokes to get a laugh out of others. Though, Bix can also be easily embarrassed when he realizes he's sharing too much. Embarrassment is also a very quick way for Bix to become overwhelmed or flustered.

Even though Bix is shy, he's not the most considerate. Bix gets easily annoyed when he doesn't get his way. In many situations, he also tends to prioritize his own wellbeing over others. Most times, he will only help others as long as it doesn't conflict with his interests. Despite this, Bix does pledge a genuine loyalty to those he considers as close.

Contradictory to his shyness, when someone else views Bix as being incapable, he asserts himself back. In his rivalry with Carmine, he is not afraid to challenge Carmine back despite not knowing him very well. Bix's assertiveness also tends to lead him to make snarky remarks.

Background

Prior to Tammy's appearance, Bix lived with Benzaiten in a small house on the outskirts of Ice Burg. He became friends with Ghost while Ghost was looking for Benzaiten to teach him magic. At first, Bix despised Ghost, but grew to like him since he was the only friend he had. The two hang out often together and are now friendly with each other. Ghost was also kind enough to teach Bix how to play the bass guitar.

Relationships

Tammy

Tammy and Bix had a rough start when meeting each other. Bix would rather not be bothered, but Tammy kept bothering Bix until Benzaiten took over. Even after Bix was shown to not be interested in Tammy, she still attempted to be playful friendly with him. Following Benzaiten's offer for Tammy to stay with them, Bix gave up on trying to push Tammy away. Though after spending more time together, Bix did start getting more comfortable around Tammy because she looks out for him. Over time, they even begin to develop a sibling dynamic that is very playful and close.

The two compliment each other, which is why they like to argue so much. Tammy is led by her heart, while Bix is led by rationale. They both have different perspectives on how to go about situations. But ultimately, these differences help each other grow. Tammy benefits from having someone stop her from doing stupid ideas. Likewise, Bix is benefitted by Tammy being around to help him talk to people. Despite their differences, they still like to encourage each other to do random and reckless ideas.

Carmine

Carmine tends to get into much more fights with Bix than anyone else, since Bix is an elemental. In more conservative cultures in Iaia, they tend to follow a social hierarchy where Acerians have a higher social status than elementals. Elementals formed as a species long before the Acerians did. Because of this, many Acerians view elementals as despicable primal creatures who aren't intelligent enough to use their abilities wisely. The two will constantly challenge each other, even considering each other rivals. Bix is not usually an outspoken person, but due to Carmine's spiteful behavior against Bix, both of them are usually working against each other.

Carmine and Bix will often be rather petty towards each other. They'll make rude, unwarranted comments, or sabotage each other just because they don't like the other. Carmine may make up reasons to criticize Bix, such as that he will only use his shapeshifting abilities to impersonate others (however shapeshifters generally are considered neutral). Although, their hatred for each other does come from different places. Carmine's hatred comes from a place of naivety and fear. However, Bix's behavior stems from the fact that Carmine views Bix as inferior. Thus, Bix wants to prove that he isn't.

Ghost

Ghost is very fond of Bix, even going as far to consider him his best friend. However, Bix is unsure whether they are best friends because of Ghost's large social circle. The two get along quite well and work together on various occasions. Ghost find's Bix's blunt humor very charming. On the other side, Bix is grateful that Ghost reaches out a lot, even though Bix is too shy to do the same.

Since Bix and Ghost have been friends for years, they share a lot of inside jokes. They both became friends because Ghost was around Benzaiten so often, trying to get them to teach him magic. The two met because they were in close proximity since Bix lives with Benzaiten. Ghost also tries to impress Bix often because he wants Bix to like him. This can lead to Ghost disguising his true feelings if he thinks Bix might not agree with him. In reality, Bix actually doesn't mind their different opinions and finds Ghost's alternative views enlightening.

Abilities

• All elementals have the ability to shapeshift into other living beings
  • However, the caveat being that they can only do so when they have enough energy via eating or sleeping
  • Continuous shapeshifting and holding forms drains their energy more
  • They also need to learn how to use the individual abilities of any lifeform they take.
• As a fire elemental, he is immune to any extreme temperatures, both hot and cold. His body stays at a constant temperature unless influenced by extreme emotions.
• Like all elementals, Bix does not food to stay alive.
• Fire magic is Bix's main talent, he can control any fire that he starts. However, these are also influenced by his emotions. His fires can start on their own or spread faster through extreme emotions
• Bix also has the ability to perform spells, but prefers fire magic more often.
• Besides raw abilities, Bix has an affinity for photography. But Benzaiten isn't rolling exactly in money, so he uses a crappy knockoff camera.
